Provisional Programme (subject to final confirmation):

"Hong Kong is a unique and exciting place to live. We can observe and appreciate social, cultural, economic and environmental diversity and, in doing so, understand more about our home. By exploring we can appreciate and celebrate Hong Kong's beauty and complexity and learn more about the challenges we face as a society. With greater understanding, we can become more empathetic and compassionate citizens.

Photography is an excellent way to explore and observe closely our physical and conceptual environment. It forces us to look and see and express our vision creatively. Photography helps us and others to understand more about our home, Hong Kong.

During this week we will learn about the technical and creative aspects of photography as well as post-production and editing. In order to practice these skills, we will take daily trips to explore different aspects of Hong Kong through various photography themes such as:

  • our natural world and the threats to it

  • social and economic inequality

  • multiculturalism

  • the built environment

  • beautiful Hong Kong

We will end the week by producing an exhibition of your best work!

If you have no experience of photography and want to learn a new skill and hobby, come and join us! If you have some experience already, come along and practice, improve and help to teach less experienced students.
